Pastor Lakesha Sewell

Elder Lakesha Sewell serves as Pastor of Greater Light, Church of the Living God International, Inc. in Sumter, South Carolina.  Since June 2016, Pastor Sewell has shepherded God’s flock with support from her husband, Assistant Pastor Tony Sewell and their son Exhorter Christian Sewell.  

Pastor Sewell has completed fifteen years of active duty service in the United States Air Force and deployed to Bosnia, Qatar and Iraq.  Following the military, she was encouraged by her late mentor, Bishop Martha Edwards to finish school.  Because of Bishop Edwards' godly example, letters of recommendation, and guidance as her Seminary Advisor, Pastor Sewell successfully graduated from Bible College and Seminary with her BS degree in Theological Studies, and MA degree in Pastoral Counseling.  She also completed three years of post-graduate education in the Doctor of Leadership Program at Columbia International University (CIU). 

Pastor Sewell also serves on The Church of the Living God's International Elect Ladies Board as Assistant Director to the Elect Ladies.  In her hometown, she mentors several leaders of Non-Profit Organizations.  

In spite of her accomplishments, Pastor Sewell firmly believes that it is God that works in her, both to will and to work for His good pleasure (Phil. 2:13).
